The Teak Boutique

Interior & exterior marine creations

The Story

The Teak Boutique was established to fulfill a niche for bespoke exterior furniture on-board private Super yachts.

Adam and Clare

Adam Keene started his career serving a formal cabinet makers apprenticeship working in private residences in London's Mayfair, Portland Place & Belgravia. With additional University studies in Furniture Design, Traditional Hand Finishing and Modern Finishing Adam completed a 10 year apprenticeship . Twenty five years later Adam is an established figure managing exterior and interior refits on 90m+ yacht projects. Having supplied custom built furniture to a number of projects word of mouth soon led to an ongoing demand. The Teak Boutique was born of the desire to put in place a dedicated team to fulfill this need.

Clare has over ten years experience working on-board Super yachts as Chief Stewardess with an acute understanding of the daily needs of a yacht and the etiquette required. Together they will ensure that The Teak Boutique provides an end to end service from concept to delivery.

Design and Build

Using teak as the prime material each piece is custom designed to meet your needs exclusively for the marine environment. All the pieces are hand built in England and hand/personally delivered globally.

Through Life Service and Support

During handover full training will be given on how to care for and maintain the pieces. Alternatively arrangements can be made at the end of each season for the pieces to be collected, re-furbished and returned to the yacht as new.

The use of 4.1mm teak laminate ensures the pieces can be reworked to bring back to as new condition.

"We had a variety of teak trunks made to replace the rattan style we carried on-board. The trunks were custom made to an extremely high quality and looked very stylish in place.

The range we had varied from smaller towel trunks next to the Jacuzzi through to a selection of mid sized for robes and towels on the decks to one large one that was designed especially to house the 9m slide, accessories and pump equipment. This item also doubled up as a bar, DJ stand and a decorative platform for the in house movie projector and was a very versatile trunk for our needs.

Adam and the team worked with us to provide the boat with what we required to which I was incredibly pleased and proud of upon taking delivery of the trunks."
